About Us

Our church is part of the Scottish Episcopal Church.

We are in the Diocese of St. Andrews, Dunblane and Dunkeld.

We are part of the ABI Group of churches, along with St. Serf’s Scottish Episcopal Church in Burntisland and St. Columba’s Scottish Episcopal Church in Aberdour, with whom we share a rector.

St. Peter’s was consecrated in 1903.

We had our centenary in 2003.

Our congregation comes mainly from Inverkeithing, Dalgety Bay and North Queensferry, with one or two people from further away. We are a small, friendly church. Our Sunday attendance is about 12 but we are always looking for new members, of all ages. So, why not give us a try?

Our rector shares responsibility for leading services with our lay worship leaders. On many Sundays our worship is lay led.

We use the Scottish Liturgy 1982 (on the Scottish Episcopal Church website) as our order of service. The setting is mainly from the ‘Gathering Mass’ by Paul Inwood. Hymns are selected from ‘Hymns Ancient and Modern, New Standard’, ‘Songs of God’s People’ and ‘Common Ground’.

Stay for a cup of coffee after the service.

We are part of the diocesan “Casting the Net” project. See the Diocese of St. Andrews, Dunblane and Dunkeld website for details. See our net in our Gallery.

We are a member of Scotland’s Churches Scheme. See Sacred Scotland.

The Scottish Episcopal Church is a member of the Anglican Communion and the Porvoo Churches.
